Does commute count as 'business travel'?

Ask an Expert12 July 2010 I am in dispute with my insurer over adding expensive business use to my car insurance. It says that by driving to work at different locations, I am using the car for business travel. But I only visit one location in any week, so I am arguing it is no more risky than commuting to an office. Who is right? R.L. Graeme Trudgill, technical executive of the British Insurance Brokers' Association, replies: Policies normally give 'social domestic and pleasure use' as a standard starting point and then you add on other uses as required. Other types of cover include

Auto Insurance, car insurance, sports car insurance, yacht insurance, helicopter insurance
