Insurers pass the buck on young drivers

For many years, insurers have trotted out the same answer when asked about young drivers: 'If they take the Pass Plus course we will cut up to 35% off their premiums.' They promised the Government they would cut premiums to those who took Pass Plus, and the Government relays the myth on its consumer internet site Directgov.
